Join us for a rare, intimate behind-the-curtain experience styling hair for red carpet, fashion shows, and editorial work. This intense hands-on class will equip you with many quick styling tricks, from behind-the-chair looks to more conceptual styles, along with the processes behind them. The importance of technique, speed, and thinking smarter, not harder.

This class is for those who want to elevate their salon finishes using quick styling techniques, those pushing the limits of their styling, those interested in expanding their knowledge, and those ready to be re-inspired by what is possible to achieve with hair. Whether you are already a seasoned session stylist or have never done a French twist, you will leave this class confident in your ability to style hair.

The class will include 8 separate demos during a morning Look and Learn, followed by an afternoon of hands-on learning. Each attendee will leave with a Blu&Green goodie bag. Limited Hands-On spots are available.

Choose your ticket

• Look & Learn — $200. The morning, from 10 AM: eight live styling demonstrations by James.
• Full-Day Hands-On — $500. The full morning Look & Learn plus the afternoon hands-on session, 1–3 PM, on your own live model. No separate Look & Learn ticket needed.

Full-Day Hands-On: what you must bring

You are responsible for bringing your own live model and your own tools.

• Model: hair below the shoulders. Ideally not super long and not too curly (James can do the looks on any hair type, but these conditions get the most out of the hands-on).
• Tools: curling irons ¾"–1¼", blow dryer, pin tail comb, wide tooth comb, medium round brush, Mason Pearson–type brush, flat styling brush (if you have one), U-pins and bobby pins.

James Pecis has spent decades exploring beauty. As one of the industry's leading hair stylists, he has traveled the world working with Hailey Bieber, Billie Eilish, Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber, Christy Turlington, Kate Moss, and more, while working with global brands such as Chanel, Hermès, Chloé, and Thom Browne. James has worked with most major hair care brands and was the global ambassador for Oribe. He has collaborated with every major fashion publication, including W, WSJ, V, and Vogue (British, French, Italian, and American). Currently, James continues his love for hairdressing through his session work and by developing clean performance products for Blu&Green.
